Helper Resumes: Beginning Your Career in a Trade

"It"s good to learn a trade." Given the general state of today"s economy, this old truism appears to have been fairly sound advice. The mechanical systems supporting the operation of commercial facilities, school buildings, governmental structures, and residences as well as the edifices themselves, will, sooner or later, require maintenance. While the recession has impacted the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, electrical, and carpentry industries, they have not suffered to the same extent as many other industries. Therefore, individuals who have made the decision to enter one of these increasingly competitive fields either as a helper or an apprentice require well-written helper resumes to assist them in presenting themselves as qualified to secure employment within their desired trades.


Cardiology Jobs

In addition to physicians in the cardiology area, there are also nurses, technicians and technologists. Examples of cardiology jobs are: Cardiology coders, Cardiology nurses, RN Cardiology, Cardiology technicians, Specialist Cardiology, RN Supervisor, and Physician assistant, Intervention Cardiology.

To become a cardiologist, one is required to study many comprehensive and difficult studies such as cardiac cauterization, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular anatomy, cardiovascular physiology, epidemiology, and biostatistics. So, if youð€™re seriously thinking about entering this field, realize that discipline in many areas will be needed. Cardiologists work under extreme stress, work long hours and are responsible for everyone they treat. It is challenging work, the pay is very good but the responsibilities are great. Those who want to become a cardiologist must begin with a Bachelor of Science degree; however, there are some students who can apply for cardiology who have a Bachelor of Arts degree. But most importantly, for those who wish to pursue a cardiology profession, he or she must take several in-depth courses in math and science.

Once the Bachelor of Science degree is completed, it is on to medical school. Medical school lasts four years. After medical school then itð€™s on to residency, which usually lasts six to eight years, specializing in cardiology. Lastly, there is required a three year program of internal medicine and an additional three additional years in cardiology. Once all of this is completed, a licensing exam is given, so that the physician can then practice medicine.

The daily responsibilities of a cardiologist are comprehensive and challenging. Here is a list of some of those responsibilities:

ÂÙ Study diagnostic images to help make a diagnosis.

ÂÙ Examine patients; checking for symptoms of heart problems, with the use of medical instruments

ÂÙ Prescribe needed medications and recommend physical and dietary changes

ÂÙ Treat diseases of the heart

ÂÙ Perform surgery; specifically the implantation of pacemakers and other heart-related devices.

ÂÙ Perform research and necessary administrative work.

Cardiologists work in hospitals, universities, private clinics and intensive care units. In addition, some cardiologists work intensively in research offices; seeking new ways to treat heart disease and working hard to improve and create new pacemakers and other life-saving innovations.

The future looks bright for those in the cardiology field, for these jobs give good pay and great benefits and is a career that is continually progressing. This kind of job will always be necessary, for there will always be people in need. Currently and in the future, the prospect for continued work in this area, shines bright. So, if youð€™re looking for a job in cardiology and have the desire and stamina to study hard, the discipline needed to perform the various daily tasks and the desire to help others.
