Job Interview Questions Ethics

You can use this gift of free time to help prepare yourself for the best interview you have ever had. Here is a list of suggestions to make the most of your waiting time.

1) DO find the ladies or gents room and take use the facilities. Nothing is more embarrassing than having to excuse yourself to go to the bathroom during an interview. While in the restroom, check your clothing for any stains or runs in the stockings. Look at your face in the mirror and refresh your makeup if needed. Be sure you donò€™t leave the rest room with any paper on your shoe!

2) Ask at an information desk, or look around for any brochures or newsletters from your potential employer. Many companies leave customer newsletters and pamphlets out for the public to learn more about the company and what the newest goals or achievements have been. If you can mention any new information you can glean about the company during the interview, you will seem to have done your homework about the company and appear interested.

3) Check to be sure you have copies of your references and your latest resume to hand out during the interview. If you have only one of each, you can look for a public copy machine to make sufficient copies for all. You may end up being in a group interview with more than five people, so be sure you have enough copies for everyone.

4) Sit and look around at your potential new job. Listen to the customers and the employees as they walk by. See how the employees treat the customers and how the customers seem to respond to the employees. Note how the employees dress.

5) If you start to feel restless, start to venture out from your meeting place and take a look around. Some places have coffee shops where you could get yourself something to eat (avoid anything pungent like garlic pizza ) for a quick shot of energy. Coffee can lead to coffee breath, and possible jitters. Water can refresh you or tea to relax. Be sure to remember where your meeting place is, and donò€™t get lost!
